Psa. 71:1 In You, O Jehovah, do I take refuge; / Never let me be put to shame.
Psa. 71:2 In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; / Incline Your ear to me and save me.
Psa. 71:3 Be to me a rock of habitation for me to come to continually. / You have given command to save me, / For You are my rock and my fortress.
Psa. 71:4 My God, rescue me from the hand of the wicked, / From the hand of the unjust and cruel;
Psa. 71:5 For You are my hope, O Lord Jehovah, / My trust from my youth.
Psa. 71:6 On You I have been sustained since birth; / It was You who took me from my mother’s womb; / My praise is continually of You.
Psa. 71:7 I am like a wonder to many, / But You are my strong refuge.
Psa. 71:8 My mouth is filled with Your praise, / With Your glory, all day long.
Psa. 71:9 Do not cast me off in the time of old age; / When my strength fails, do not forsake me.
Psa. 71:10 For my enemies speak concerning me, / And those who watch for my soul take counsel together,
Psa. 71:11 Saying, God has forsaken him; / Pursue and lay hold of him, for there is no one to deliver him.
Psa. 71:12 O God, do not be far away from me; / My God, hasten to help me.
Psa. 71:13 May those who are the adversaries to my soul / Be put to shame and consumed; / May those who seek my misfortune / Wrap themselves in reproach and humiliation.
Psa. 71:14 But I will hope continually / And will add yet more to all Your praise.
Psa. 71:15 My mouth will recount Your righteousness, / Your salvation, all day long; / For I do not know its full numbers.
Psa. 71:16 I will come with the proof of the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah; / I will remind men of Your righteousness, Yours alone.
Psa. 71:17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; / And until now I have declared Your wondrous deeds.
Psa. 71:18 So even into my old age and grayheadedness, / O God, do not forsake me, / Until I have declared Your strength / Unto the next generation, / Your might unto everyone who is to come.
Psa. 71:19 And Your righteousness, O God, is so high, / You who have done great things. / O God, who is like You?
Psa. 71:20 You who have shown me / Many great troubles / Will revive me again / And bring me up again / From the depths of the earth.
Psa. 71:21 You will increase my greatness / And will turn and comfort me.
Psa. 71:22 I will also praise You with the harp, / I will praise Your faithfulness, my God; / I will sing psalms to You with the lyre, / O Holy One of Israel.
Psa. 71:23 My lips will give a ringing shout / When I sing psalms to You, / And my soul, which You have redeemed.
Psa. 71:24 My tongue also will declare / Your righteousness all day long; / For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, / They who seek my misfortune.
